Open access publication is not without costs. IJCES defrays these costs through article-processing charges because it
does not have subscription charges for its research content. The Journal believes that immediate, worldwide, barrier-free,
open access to the full text of research articles is in the best interests of the scientific community. Instead of charging users
a fee to read the content, an Article Processing Charge (APC) is charged at the beginning of the process. This charge
includes peer-reviewing, editing, publishing, maintaining and archiving, and allows immediate access to the full text versions
of the research articles. |
Economically deprived authors may apply for individual APC waiver requests. These APC waiver requests will be
considered on a case-by-case basis. IAET member have their APC covered in full or in part by their in their

Article Processing Charges pay for: |

Developing and maintaining electronic tools for peer review and publication. |

Preparation in various formats for online publication. |
· |
Securing inclusion in relevant indexing services as soon as possible after publication. |
· |
Securing inclusion in CrossRef, enabling electronic citation, in other journals that are available electronically. |
